charging a 12v positive ground system

I have a truck with a dual battery, 12v positive ground setup. The batteries need to be recharged (i.e. I cannot start the truck), and I need to how to do this (since it is a positive ground setup). How does this sound as a procedure: disconnect both leads from the battery, connect the positive charger clamp to the negative battery terminal, and then connect the negative charger clamp to the positive battery terminal?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
