It matters not how the vehicle is wired, if you are going diectly to the battery, it is always pos to pos and neg to neg.

Just because the vehicle is wired pos ground does not mean the batteries are charged backward.

If you hook the leads up the way that you want, and it took a charge, then the vehicle would be neg ground.
