Son bought a 68 C-10 6 cyl - some electrical reworking (electronic ignition, etc.)

He's been driving it for a few weeks - the other night he drove across town - turned it off - when he went to re-start it - deadsville - nada zip no-go.

We went over - checked the battery clamps - very loose - only on by hand pressure - we cleaned and tightened them
Put on the booster - nothing at all to the ignition...

Question 1
- Could the hand pressed on clamps have led to some component electrical failure in the system?

Put a tester on the battery - voltage flows to the starter - nothing beyond - no lights, signals - ignition did not click - nada.

Put a screwdriver across the starter hot post to the RT and then LT leads - nothing.

Question 2
- Is this a starter problem - or is it more??

Your Ideas / thoughts ???

Thanks in advance

Gord
