There are other alternatives to the two piece "Widow Makers", as the old Ford two piece rims are referred to. As Stu mentioned, there are one piece rims out there, I have a set of 19.5 on my '48 F-4. I got them off of a trashed RV with a Dodge chassis.

Another alternative is another type of multipart rim, the kind with a snap ring on the outside. Although the snap ring type are dangerous to do yourself many big truck shops still work on these. This type of rim is still in use on modern trucks. These rims came on many different trucks. I found a nice set on a '47 COE chassis. I took the chassis to the tire shop to make sure the rims were still useable before I wasted time blasting and painting them. The tire guy told me they were in deed still very useable and he would have no problem working on them.
