My reference book is titled Catalog of Ford Truck ID Numbers, 1946 - 1972. It's published by Cars and Parts Magazine. All it gives is what you already know. The SS was for special paint, no doubt fleet colors, but it gives no further description. The only way I can see to match it is to find an area that's been spared repaint, damage, or UV discoloration and have it computer matched. Maybe the gas tank, or some other interior piece.
