flathead ford carb

I had a perfect running f/h ford motor with new carb, electric fuel pump( no pressure regulater )it put out 4/5 pounds ran great.the pump went bad started flooding putting out way to much pressure.I replaced pump, put on regulater 2/4 pounds carb is still flooding out I know it was pushing to much gas past needle/seat and damaged something how do I correct without having to have carb rebuilt thanks mike
