My friend has a 1968 GMC which has an unusualy problem...the distributor hold-down bolt came out and the timing is off as a result. He asked me to reset it for him (found the bolt on the driveway!) as I have a timing light...but I need to know what the correct specifications are. Truck has original 307 V8 but it now has a later-model GM HEI ignition and a brand-new Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, headers, TH350 automatic, 2-wheel drive 1/2 ton. Can anyone advise what the correct timing would be for this engine ?? - Mike in Frankfort, Kentucky -
