IH Loadstar 1600 help please!!!

I have a 1963 IH 1600 with 10,000 original miles on it. It's in great shape but the door latches are worn out. I bought new ones (the part that goes in the door) from Navistar, but they have a fork type latch and mine had one single tab. My question is when did IH change the latches, and did they make the pocket part that bolts to the cab in both styles to fit my truck? I've tried latch pockets off a 72 model but the holes are too close together....
