no blinkers

i have a 1978 ford f700 louisville grain truck. It was fine until i tried to figure out why the clearance lights wouldnt work. i found out the toggle was unplugged so i got a new switch for it. i hooked it up, but now i dont have any blinkers or clearance lights. replacing the relay for the blinker didnt help. any ideas???
