GMC 366 vs Chevy 366?

Allright, I know some about the Chevy 366 but I just got some stuff off of a truck that a guy was parting out that he said had a 366 in it.

However, when i looked under the hood it looked nothing like any 366 I'd ever seen. It had real narrow valve covers and looked almost like a small block chevy on steroids. That's when the guy said it was a GMC 366 and not a Chevy 366.

So, does such a creature exist? I tried looking it up but can't find any information on it. The truck was an early to mid 60's GMC cement truck.
