The Pertronix units are OK, but NOTHING like an HEI for spark, and, even though I've used quite a few of the Pertronix units with good luck, I've had a couple fail randomly, which is NOT agood thing when it's for a special application, and had to be special ordered in, and the machine is layed up wwhile you wait for a replacement.

At least the pickup coil, module, and coil for an HEI are available "off the shelf", if something DOES go wrong.
