Struggling with one of Ford's better ideas!!!Posted by Bill Oakes NY on September 21, 2002 at 16:07:16 from (12.89.8.207):
Please help me! I am simply trying to replace the front disc pads on my 1987 F-150. I can't remove those funky little tin things that hold the calipers in place. They are metal strips bent 90 degrees with rubber between them. A friend told me to just use a drift punch and drive them out -- HA! Easier said than done. There must be a trick - will someone help me?
