'71 F350 UPDATE-Signals,vacuum leak new problem

I fixed the turn signals! I was studying all the wiring harness from the steering wheel and at the connection, there was one (light blue) wire that had been snipped in half and you couldn't even see it until you started prying the wires to the side. I pigtailed around the connection on that one wire and turn signals now work. As far as the vacuum leak, I can't find one. I don't have a vacuum gauge and may have to get one. I haven't tried to warm it up and spray WD-40 at the base of carb, etc. Kind of messy and was wandering what other stuff will work as well without the oily residue. Lastly, I was fiddling with the steering column to tighten up the mounting bracket (two bolts under dash) and after doing, the top seal on steering sector started leaking real bad. I had pulled back on the steering column to release some of the dragging it had and maybe I screwed up the seal. That seal looks like a bear to replace. Going to try PS fluid with sealer but probably wasting my time and should just replace seal.
