How to Change to Power Brakes

Posted by Buck from WV on December 17, 2007 at 05:16:01 from (204.111.35.3):

I'd like to put a brake booster on my 74 F100, that now has no power brakes. -Other than drilling the mounting holes in the firewall, is there anything else I need to be aware of? How about the length of the rod connecting to the pedal? Do I need to change that? Can I use my present master or does a booster take a different one? I can get later year boosters at local junk yards, like late 80's or early 90's, will they work?

Thanks
