I'm in process of putting '49 chevy 1/2 ton truck onto '92 chevy S-10 reg. cab long box frame. I am in contact with Ad-engineering in Cal. and they are very helpfull. They also have never put a 4.3 L engine back into so do not know what to suggest. With their 8 cylinder replacements they need to move motor mounts back 4 in. to clear radiatior. This also centers the rear wheels in rear wheel wells.
I am wondering if it is a 6 cylinder if I can use same mounts and replace a 4 in. longer drive shaft?

Any one out there help? I am a novice at this stuff and any comments appreciated.
