I had a '70 Dodge P/U about 25 years ago that had a slant six (225 ci I think, not sure anymore). It was a good engine, not overpowered, but darn near bulletproof. It seemed like Chrysler put slant sixes in just about everything they made for quite a few years, so there should be a lot of parts around. It was used as an industrial motor too in things like forklifts.
