671 detroit

I have a 671 in a 68 gmc 9500. I heard a clicking noise so I pulled the pan. I found a broken tooth on the oil pump and one on the drive gear. Can the drive gear on the crank be pulled off or is it made into the crank. Can I put a new gear on the pump and leave the drive gear with a missing tooth?
