GMC V-6 enginesPosted by Mike in KY on January 07, 2008 at 16:03:42 from (216.221.200.137): I knew about the 351 and 478 engines from my days on the farm, but I've recently learned there were several others engines -- 305,351,379,401,432,478 (plus the "twin six" and the V8) I know the 351 and 478 were different blocks but which others were "small" blocks suitable for light/medium trucks? I'm especially interested in the 379 because of it's long stroke. Anyone know much about these engines? Any leads on finding a 379? (I've been to 6066GMC, etc so I have all the data, I'm looking for folks who have experience with them.) Thanks
