Been snooping the weeds for some time looking for older Chevy p/u. Found one sitting on a 1972 frame. Thought of offering $1K as truck is in pretty good shape. Has 4 bolt main 327 (so he claims) 2 spd Powerglide auto trans. Been sitting outside for over 4 yrs.

Would $1K be an insult? I would like to have the truck but owner won't committ to a price, tells me to make an offer.
