The bulk of his customers trucks were lowboy tractors, coal haulers, and oil field trucks. we built many blown rears but dident see many axle problems. Sorry I cant really give you a answer to your problem. As for axle shafts being designed as a "safety valve" to protect the ring and pinion..... thats a load of bunk.
