Old Chevy Truck ID?

Posted by Rex Housour on October 03, 2002 at 14:15:04 from (67.203.205.107):

I have found a truck on a old farm hiding under an
elm tree. Just guessing I would say late 40's model, but I have had trouble decoding the ID tag.
I was using the table on this site( http://www.chevytrucks.org/don/numbers.htm )
but I cant see how my numbers line up with the
table. The ID tag has the following:
printed- 16000 GVW Stamped- 5QV J 1975

The carries an emblem on each side of the hood
(chrome) Chevrolet Loadmaster.
it has a 5-bar grill is a 5-window model.
The cab and running gear seem to be all there,
and it has no bed. It is fairly beat up, but the sheet metal looks restoreable. I dont think it has seen driveable condition in a very long time.

I have pictures of the ID plate, and the exterior of the truck.
I can send a picture for id purposes, but i dont presently have a way to post pics.
thanks in advance any help will be appreciated.
