Re: Dual Mass Fly-wheel QuestionPosted by Dr.Evil on October 04, 2002 at 18:47:00 from (216.165.144.225): In Reply to: Dual Mass Fly-wheel Question posted by Mitch - MS on October 01, 2002 at 11:32:27:
A company called LUK makes a conventioanl clutch that's a direct replacement for the dual mass Ford setup.... cost HALF of what the flywheel alone costs from a Ford dealer. $600 including shipping. It's bigger in diameter than the OEM clutch, 13" not 12", includes the flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch disc & throw-out bearing... Not a bad idea to replace the slave & master cyl. also... $700 for parts... Plus the clutch pedal force is cut in half.
