Antenna length not adjusted right. Length is critical, 1/8th inch off can mess it up. Talk to the people at store where you bought antenna. SWR meter is needed. They can sell you a SWR meter for around 30 bucks & explain how to use it, do it themselves, or refer you to someone locally that can do it.
