Has a 360 engine and points/condenser setup. I replaced the plugs, wires, and a rebuilt distributor along with having a mechanic rebuild the carburetor couple months ago. The engine has a lot of wear on it and really needs to be pulled and gone thru but it doesn't burn oil and has good compression on 7 of 8 cylinders. One hole is 30# less than the others and they run around 100 psi. I have been running it some to get thru the hay season as I use it to feed round bales and move freshly baled hay to edge of field. Was moving round bales last night and after about 30 minutes of work It started missing, sputtering to the point that it didn't even want to stay running and finally died. Felt coil and it was hot hot and I had a new one so put it on. Still no go so let set for an hour. It started right up after setting and ran ok for 3 or 4 minutes and started sputtering all over again. gave up on and parked it. Tried it again later and did same thing again. Could it be that the condenser, even though fairly new, has gone bad. Can't think of anything else to try to patch it up for a few days.
PS- I checked fuel and it is there and not a problem.
