I already have a good gas engine in it, tho I don't know what year the engine is or even who made the engine. I tried to get a distributor cap for it today and the one they gave me at the parts store was for a 72 courier, with dual points but it was too short and jammed up the rotor. Perhaps someone can tell me about this engine, OHC with horizontal monted distributor on the front drivers side of truck and has dual points.
The stickers on the truck say the engine is a 1796cc, Mazda etc, but with over 100K miles it could be anything engine that was dropped in. I found a new head gasket behind the seat, Hmm!
The Mazda I bought new in 1981 had a OHV engine and was quite different and the valves burned out at 100K miles.
