Pulled the dipstick on my 1989 5.8 efi Ford today and found it dry as a bone and covered with dirt on one side.....wiped it clean and tried like crazy to put it back in BUT NO it wont go back in all the way!!!!! The tube goes into the block as it should, its not bent or anything, What the heck could be stopping the last one third from going into the block??? Any idea??? This has been problem free up until now. Help please before I shoot myself in the foot or something.
P>S> This comes 1 day after tearing up the timing belt on my wifes v6 Nissan Pathfinder and yup its called a "collision motor" Thats where the valves and the pistons collide when the belt slips. We are still waiting to hear from the mechanic on that one. Just aint been my week.....
