i've got a 76 c60 with a 4 bolt 350, and its got all the power you could ever need. the problem with the 454 and the 460 is that there're just not balanced very well. also the oiling system was a really poor design, with led to most of there problems. most of the 454s and 460s i've seen that blew was beacuse they thre rod and crank bearings. i work my trucks hard, and with 327s and 350s in 'em, and never have had engine failures.
