The darn thing has always worked slick. I check the oil at least once a week. I've got to get under it tomorrow and look again, I am hoping it pulled out of the block a little and the stick is hitting the shoulder of the block, but its a solid hit with no give at all just like someone closed a door the dipstick just stops! I've checked with 2 local Ford dealers today on the phone and I was told that there is nothing inside the pan that could break and get in the way of the stick so its got to be the tube itself. I was also told that they dont even work on them "THAT OLD" and they dont rebuild them either. This is a 1989 it doesnt even qualify for this board!!
