found what i need at northern tool just need to figure how to hook it up i think i can measure from the hinge to the front and find the center mount the cylinder to the bed their and mount it where it sits on the truck frame toward the cab of the truck, im looking at a cylinder with a 30 in stroke it says 40 in closed so it would be approx 40 in forward from half where it mounted to the truck so with a 30 in. stroke that gives a 70 inch lift witch should be sufficient i still have a lot of measurement to do. i think i will cut a piece of pipe at 40 than put it on center and mark it where it would hit the frame then raise the bed and measure from center on bed to mark on truck frame think that will work feel free to point out anything wrong with this plan or anything in doing wrong or suggestions or even just sounds like it would work. thanks
