Chrysler "wedge" big blocks were made in several different sizes, including 350 (1958 only), 361, 383 (in both low and high block versions), 400, 413, 426, and 440. If the engine in your truck is the one it came with, it is probably a 361, 383 or a 413. I am not sure I have ever seen a cabover Dodge of that era, only conventional cab models. If it is in good shape, I bet someone would give you more than you could get just selling it to the junkyard. Maybe it could be used again as a working truck, or maybe someone might want to restore it, considering its rarity. It wouldn't take that much effort to advertise the truck a little. I hate to see stuff just wasted. I am aghast that one of the parts of the government "clunker" program is that the engines and transmissions of the vehicles traded in must be destroyed rather than parted out or reused. It makes me sick! What a waste of cores for rebuilding, if nothing else.
