Based on personal experience, if you find coolant in a cylinder, check the cylinder wall for a hole. These blocks were some kind of chrome/cast and had a bad habit of getting air pockets in the casting. When it wears through, (or you bore through) you get water in that cylinder, and no number of new head gaskets will seal it. Like I said, from personal experience . . . .
