All the SD/BG/BD sixes had "220" stamped into the oil pan. My '51 L-110 with the original SD-220 and the add-on factory option oil filter [they weren't standard equipment, as I understand it] takes the 1156. My '52 L-110, which has a later-vintage BD-264 installed by a previous owner, takes the equivalent of a Fram CH-333-PL oil filter [same filter they used on '59-'67 IH pickups/Travelalls with V8's equipped with the OE canister oil filter]. This might be what your truck takes as well.
