Often you will find a tank containing fluid nearby the pump. At the very least the tank is connected to the pumps inlet. If there isn't a tank and both hoses run to the cylinder then the cylinder IS the tank. In this case you should be able to climb into the bed of the truck and find a removable door near the top of the cylinder. The cylinder should have a plug somewhere near the top where you can add fluid. You've probably already heard this before, but it's worth mentioning that you should NEVER get under a raised dump bed unless it is SECURED. There is often a short arm along the side of the frame that fits into a little niche in the dump bed to hold it up. Best of luck,
