ken most modern trucks have the fuel tank in this location, except for 70's and 80's square body chevys, the thing you need to know is how much clearance you have between the drive shaft and frame rail on the '65 then look at all the inports as well as the ranger, most held 12 to 15 gallons and the shapes were different so its kind of a eyeball thing on what will fit and give you the most gallons of fuel on board, also look in places like jegs ect there is a kit out there that mounts the tank between the frame rails behind the rear axle[ like 60's thru80's full size gm cars] with a filler door flush mounted in the bed floor
