37 chevy pickup transmission

Recently inherited 37 chevy 1/2 ton pickup. I'm told the transmission needs replacement. It has 235 ci engine (1954). Everything else is stock (3 speed transmission, torque tube drive, rear end). I need some advice. Where can I find a transmission replacement? Is there a better way to go?...another compatable transmission, etc.?
