$1800.00??? For a C6? Even with a REALLY good high perforance tranny with a decent new converter, that's expensive. If you have the narrow brake pedal, it could have very well had a stick at one point in time.

I've got a good used C6 here (from a 460) that would work, but you're too far from me. As long as you get the correct tailshaft length, a C6 from a 351M-400 or 429-460 will work.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure your T18 won't work, and if you don't happen to have a parts truck, you'd be surprised what all the little pieces you'd need for a conversion like that will cost. You really need to find the 4 speed with the bellhousing and everything else from a 70s Ford truck with the 351M in it (meaning a 77-79). The 400s had automatics only (in 2 wheel drives, not 100 percent sure on the 4 wheel drives, but that don't matter for you anyway) and all the 460s did.
