How does the recirculation of exhaust gases reduce the burn temperature? Wouldn't it just allow an better overall combustion due to preheating the gas/air mixture. I also would have thought that the cylinders shoud have run at a cooler temperature???? if they run any different at all. I guess that I don't understand all of the thought process involved here.

Anyway will this adversly affect the life of my motor? Also how long could I run the truck with a slight spark knock before it causes problems? Currently I'm 400 miles from most of my tools including a timing gun... And I'm not looking to get back there for another 3 weeks.

Thanks
Jeff
