Did Jeep make a 1 ton series pickup?

I was wondering if Jeep ever made a 1 ton pickup? I know of the J20's 3/4 ton. Can a guy build a 1 ton out of a J20? Dual rear axle of some sort out of a Ford 1 ton? Is a 401 AMC engine and AMC(bellhousing) THM-400 transmission a possible combination for a 1 ton trailer puller? Any of you fellas ever seen this set up done before? Just some questions I've had rolling around in my head. Thanks for listening. :-)
