I think you would have no problem with pulling power, I'm wondering about the speed of the truck generally truck diesels tach out between 2800 and 3000, with a 1:1 transmission (not overdrive) and 4:11 rear I'm thinking its gonna be way slow mabye 60 mph but the engine is gonna be wide open all the time, I saw this happen on a F600 diesel once, rear end went out and was replaced with a gas burner rear end, truck would run 40 mph uphill, downhill, loaded or empty, I have the remnants of the engine over here at my shop, not pretty.
