Glad to hear you did a sucessful conversion.I worry a little about you using the Ford starter solenoid for a power relay. They are not designed for continuous on use and will burn up on 12V. If you are powering it from the old point ignitions resistor wire,then it is recieving about 6-7 Volt and may live forever. I would run the truck for about 30 min then feel the solenoid case. If the solenoid is too hot to touch for an extended time,then it will not last. The little square black plastic box acessory relays are less than $10 at auto parts stores. Good luck and enjoy the benifits of the HEI ignition.
