After second thought today I wondered the same thing and went to my local parts house, when I asked the counterman about the accessory relay he brought me out this computer looking do-dad and I told him that was not it. I tried to describe to him what I was attempting to do, he just stared at me like a monkey doing a math problem. Oh well I'll try someplace else later, the solenoid doesn't seem to be heating up and am running straight 12 volts, but I will change it out, My nephew was helping me also and he left the ignition on for about an hour and we probably fried the coil too.
