The oil leak is the effect of the oil scraper ring
on the bottom of the piston wearing out and
allowing pressure into the crankcase, just like
any other engine. My dad is an expert on these
engines. As a matter of fact we have a Dynahoe
rubber tire loader with a 4-53DD that he rebuilt 8
years ago and the engine is just dusty no oil leak
anywhere, and run that baby will scream like
theres no tomorrow.

right.
