Remember, GVW of a truck includes everything, not just the load. Double axle or triple axle trailer? Let's assume that the tractor is 12K and the trailer is 2K and the pickup is 4K. Does the tractor have any implements on it? Are you bringing any tools, equipment or extra fuel? How far and how hilly is it? With the tractor, trailer and truck you are somewhere around 17000 to 20000 pounds not including any extras. Personally I think that is too much GVW for a single wheel F350 to be safe. I've pulled 10K with a 93 F350 with a 460 and wished I had more power. Tack on another 5-10K and it would have been downright dangerous. You have to think of others safety as well as your own. I would personally find a way to hang on to the bigger truck for that much of a load. With bigger brakes, duals and suspension the L600 would be far more suitable than an F350.
