One of the greatest things about restoring GM products is that they are very interchangeable.
With few exceptions, almost all GM engines will bolt up to almost all GM transmissions. This is not true of either Ford or Chryler products.
As long as the cluth linkage will work, the bell housings usually match right up. AT most, you have to change the throw out bearing length. Most Chevrolet trucks used the long bearing. GM most commonly used only a long and a short bearing.
