'55 Chevy 4WD Conversion question.

Posted by Heath on December 15, 2002 at 07:28:28 from (66.231.195.12):

I have a '55 second series I want to change to 4WD. What problems would I encounter by simply hanging front and rear diffs on the factory leaf springs? Has anyone done this? I have a 1986 3/4 ton donor truck but it's a LWB and my '55 is a SWB and I don't want to get into cutting up the chassis.

Thanks for any and all help, Heath
