Take a good look at the front crossmember, think about how much travel room it will need if the springs bottom out, and determine if there is clearance for the front differential, I don't think there is, believe the 4x4 crossmember was different, also can you hang the tranny and transfer case without disturbing a crossmember, and have room to run the driveshafts? Least of the trouble would be to have the drive shafts cut to length and balanced. With the disc brakes on the 86 front axle, you'll also have to hang the newer master cylinder, proportioning valve, etc. John in Ne.
