I am not familiar with a 261 but I have a 235 that I am going to replace the 216 in my 48 1 ton when it blows. My 216 has poured babbit bearings and low oil pressure but it keeps running with only 20 psi when its running and warm it drops to about 5 at idle. I love the 216 but it would be to expensive to upgrade it and the 235 might have a little more power. T.J.
