92 ford truck exhaust

I have a 1992 ford f150 with a fuel injection 302.I was thinking about putting a little louder muffler. I want a deeper tone to it. Would it be worth the money to change mufflers.I don't really want to loud of a truck.
What does everybody else recomend?What brands?
I don't want to hurt my hearing, or the truck,or anything else. Would a different muffler help gas mileage.I want something that sounds good with out haveing to get on it or haveing to revup the engine.would changeing the muffler help or hurt anything?
