Ford 351M rebuilding - bulletproofing?

I have a 77 F150 that my Dad bought new that I want to start rebuilding. First order of business is the engine and transmission. It originally came with a 400 that blew up at 60k miles, put in a new one and that one lasted another 60k miles, then we put in a used 351M. It has low oil pressure now and is gutless too. I want to do a good job of rebuilding it this time so it lasts - I would like to use it for pulling our hay trailer.

I posted this before and got an excellent answer from someone about line boring, etc. but there are no archives available for this board.

And what is the difference between the 351M-400? Is it the bore or stroke?

Thanks!
