Towing with '87 F150 2WDPosted by Tim Malin on February 04, 2003 at 16:07:17 from (207.190.93.7):
I have an '87 F150 2WD, 4 spd man, 300 I6, long box, with 190,000 miles. Granted, it isn't like she used to be, but i still would like to use her. How hard would it be (or how hard on it) to pull about 200 bushel of ear corn with her? I know of people with similar Ford trucks pulling skid steers on trailers, but I didn't know how much of a weight difference there would be between the two. I have some hills and stuff, some bigger than others, and it would be on either flat gravel or paved roads. Could she do it? I'm not a truck expert (although i drive mine everyday!!!), stick more down the lines of those big heavy vehicles that don't go much more than 20. Thanks for the help!!! Tim
